To make this pattern you will need to know how to:
- begin with a magic ring
- slip stitch
- single crochet
What you need to make the koalas:
- 3 mm (US 2) crochet hook
- different yarns calling for 3 mm (US 2) hook.
I use Katia Capri (cotton) and Schoeller&Stahl Limone (cotton)
- Yarn needle
- 1 pair of 6 mm safety eyes
- 1 pair of 4 mm safety eyes
- Fiberfill stuffing
- Optional (for mom koala's ears): a small amount of white wool + a felting needle
With a 3mm hook and fingering yarn, the larger koala will measure 4 inches (10 cm) length and 3 inches (8 cm) width.
If you would like a smaller or larger plush you can use a smaller/larger crochet hook and a different yarn weight.
Safety eyes can be easily found on the web, but you can also substitute them with black yarn or beads.
