- chain
- slip stitch
- single crochet

- tapestry crochet (crochet carrying the second color along the top of single crochet being worked in)

SUPPLIES:

- 3 mm (US 2) crochet hook
- tapestry needle
- yarn calling for 3.5mm to 4mm hook (Sport weight yarn).
I used Schachenmayr "Catania" (cotton), and Yarn and colors "Must-have" (cotton)
- fiberfill stuffing
- 1 polystyrene ball of 12 inches (31 cm) circumference
- 2 black glass beads (or plastic safety eyes) of 4 mm diameter
- a wooden ring of 1.2 inches (30 mm) diameter
- a wooden frame of 10 inches (26 cm) diameter

NOTES:

With a 3mm hook and Sport weight yarn, the hot air balloon will measure 3.15 inches (8 cm) diameter.
